Give those dates to Dover (in lieu of the race sent to Nashville) and Bristol, please.

    They’re not.

I expect to see a date at Circuit of the Americas next season, too.

    That would be cool.

Bring back Rockingham .... because Wilkesboro is too far gone.

I might road trip to Elkhart Lake and sit in Canada Corner if that’s true.

EDIT: Now I see Texas Motor Speedway may get the All-Star Race to soothe Eddie Gossage's feelings -- AND SMI may be in the bidding to buy COTA.

And a possible IndyCar-NASCAR weekend at COTA? That would be worthy of a drive to Austin.

Also, Bristol paper is expecting the spring Cup race to be on dirt. OK, desperate times call for desperate measures, but really?

Boy, that Tony George-Brian Z. partnership at Chicagoland paid off handsomely, didn't it? I'm guessing that property will soon revert back to cornfields. And Kentucky is a stunner. They finally figured out the traffic issues just in time to pull up stakes.

In terms of intensity, dedication and knowledge? Yes.

In terms of temperament? Not even close.

Wilkesboro has a better shot than Rockingham, which is not to say either has a shot.

No, but as far as I know, Rockingham is in good shape and has held races recently.

Teams will go nuts over spending a week in Texas for the all-star race, unless it’s one of those one-night, midweek shows.

Bristol brought in dirt for the Outlaws ~20 years ago, so this isn’t even original.

NASCAR really needs to support this, especially when you factor that all the teams are now based in the Charlotte area. Short of holding more events at CMS in Concord, it's as close to home races as the area will get.

People will drive to Richmond County to watch races. They did before and I assure you that people in the Piedmont and Down East will drive in and watch.
