I couldn't afford a Ferrari for my midlife crisis car, so I bought a red Honda Civic instead.

I'm guessing Howard might finally start to produce as expected with Brady throwing him the ball, too.

In my personal opinion, Brady should've retired after the comeback Super Bowl against the Falcons. He was never going to top that as a swan song. He won another Super Bowl and an MVP in the next three seasons, and I still think I'm right. I also think the Pats (read: Bill Belichick) are being very bloody mindedly stubborn not just giving him a nice two-year deal sendoff as they transition to the future. Bill doesn't have that many years left on the job, either. If he thinks Jarret Stitham or Andy Dalton will keep New England from falling quite a ways down minus Brady, well, he's the genius not me, but I think that's just delusional. Brady's liable to end up with a couple of seasons of wild-card round playoff teams if he's lucky. The same goes for Belichick, however. The end stories of the legendary coaches are seldom happier than those of the legendary QBs.

Not sure I trust Cowherd to break this, but ...

From San Diego/LA to ... Indianapolis. Talk about a downgrade.

No way he can operate a spincast reel without making a birds nest of the line.

He ain’t no Bill Dance — or Virgil Ward, for that matter.

So for the $$ in a reworked deal, the Texans could've likely kept Hopkins but instead spend it on David Johnson (washed up) and Randall Cobb ($18.75m guaranteed). Smart, very smart.......NO.
