AEW was better than Raw Smackdown and NxT with the empty arena so far.

jericho on commentary is gold. Really really good.

OK this week’s NXT was pretty good too. Really enjoyed the Gargano Ciampa retro.

i’d rather watch this kind of stuff on Raw/Smackdown than what they’ve been doing. Granted they don’t have any 3 year epic rivalries but get creative. Edge/Orton could carry an hour documentary style, maybe even 2 hours.

Go all in on the Hall of Fame. Lets get some commentary on some British Bulldog matches.

Assuming they're still having to use empty arenas beyond Wrestlemania, it'd be interesting to see them break kayfabe a little and have two wrestlers break down some of their classic matches. Like get Shawn Michaels and the Undertaker to rewatch their WM 25 and 26 matches and offer some insights and commentary on what they're seeing and why they did what they did. Or the same thing with some HBK and Stone Cold matches. Almost like the coaches film room version of WWE.
That could be a Network show (hell, maybe it already was at some point), and could easily fill a 30 or 40-minute segment. If they're replaying recent PPV matches anyway to fill huge chunks of the show, they might as well add some cool wrinkles to it.

This was an idea from the Masked Man today, and it's crazy that they haven't already done it for the Network. It seems like the simplest of content - Even if you're not going to do MST3K or Cheap Seats Wrestling, just have guys talking about their classic matches. Fuck, it doesn't even have to be *their* match - Have guys who were backstage for Steamboat-Savage talk about what they were doing at the time, the state of the company, etc.

I would love this. For bigger matches, include some of the build-up promos and just let the wrestlers talk like you were having a beer with them and they were telling stories about the matches. Hell, even get the refs in sometimes if something crazy went down where they had to play a role (like the Montreal Screwjob, though no way they'd do that match).

basically do the prichard show on TV. More people were downloading that show at its peak than watch nxt or aew, and sometimes than watch Raw. Thatd be a great way to hook the nostalgia audience.

someone made a good point about aew’s camera angles this week. They shot facing the entrance/stage rather then the usual wwe hard cam that would be fixed on the empty arena. Smart. Wwe should be thinking outside the box like this too

I wonder if AEW looked at that first WWE show and took some notes.

Tamina (?!) gets part of a WM title match. Makes me wonder if Graves and Carmella are under quarantine if he hasn't been seen last few weeks, and she isn't involved at WM.

Has WWE publicly discussed its testing protocol anywhere? Like, if one wrestler gets it, you'd think it would spread through the company like wildfire, given the close proximity wrestlers have with one another.
