Everything batman said. That was a good freaking time, largely because they convinced me Brock might go the distance and then used him to make McIntyre. Same goes for Reigns because once Brock went out I caught myself getting depressed that it meant Roman would win easily.

The women’s wasnt great. I dont have much interest in Becky Charlotte Part 39 so hopefully something else is in the works there.

I’ll spend the next few weeks trying to fantasy book the next bunch of feuds for Edge tho so really whats to complain about?

Lastly does Sasha Banks still work for this company? No Rumble, no run in for bayley? That was weird.

It's obvious that Drew will go after Brock. Who's going after the BrayFiend? Unless the draw things out with Bryan even more, gotta believe this is where they put Roman back on the top.

Maybe we're slow burning to the Sasha/Bayley feud we should've had a year-plus ago? Then, I have a sinking suspicion they're setting up for a redux of last year with Ronda joining Becky and Charlotte. Can't imagine Ronda's sabbatical would go more than a year.

Sasha supposedly is hurt, legitimately, after Dana Brooke poorly did a Jeff Hardy impression, did a Swanton and landed ass first on Sasha’s stomach.

Agree on a lot of this.

I actually liked how Brock was used in this match. Instead of the usual formula of having a bunch of midcarders who have zero chance to win spend 20 minutes throwing punches and trying to lift each other out, they got eliminated pretty quickly and didn’t waste anyone’s time. This didn’t drag at all, unlike a lot of Rumbles.

Rey and New Day got their moment because they have their issues with Brock, but that was it. The Shelton segment was fun. Agree also on the Lee/Braun booking. They could have had them work together on Brock, but miss a move and then have Brock eliminate both.

Edge coming back was just a lot of fun, although it’ll take me a while not to cringe every time he takes a bump.

One thing to finally praise them on is the storytelling. Last week, we got what what thought was a dumb throwaway segment where Ricochet gets kicked in the crotch. Turns out, that was actual storyline setup. Nice work, for once.

Women’s Rumble was OK. Charlotte won. Meh.

Bryan/Fiend was fun again. No dumb red
light, so maybe the E listened to everyone and we’ll just forget it happened. Fiend is showing a lot more vulnerability. I wonder where they go from here.

My biggest problem with the way the booked the men's Rumble was how the announcers were selling it. The roster was getting buried by how dominant Brock was. They could've sold his dominance and helped minimize burying everyone else just by adding a couple of things. Say how smart of a match he's wrestling and point out that unlike a traditional match, he doesn't have to beat down his opponents until they can be pinned. He just has to get them into position to go over the top rope. Some of them could go a full match still after elimination, but Brock was using his strength and ring presence to get them to the ropes and eliminate them before they could mount an attack. Talk about how Brock is normally seen as a monster who batters his opponents but how he was wrestling a much more strategic, cerebral match in the Rumble, which was leaving him time to gather himself and rest between opponents.

At this point, I have no idea what they have planned for Wyatt. I honestly think the Fiend character is boring for the most part. The matches are horribly boring and formulaic. Giving him a big spot at Wrestlemania seems like a waste, but he's got the strap, so you have to do something with him.

I don't know what they're going to do with Edge, but I can't wait to see it. I have a feeling we might see him and Styles. They'll probably add a third and we'll get a six-man tag with Rated RKO against the OC.

Speaking of Styles, I thought it was kinda weird and abrupt how he was eliminated. I thought at first he slipped and didn't catch the rope and was supposed to save himself, but I think he was eliminated because of the injury.

McIntyre has to win the belt at Wrestlemania. It's his time.

That Edge pop has to be a top 5 Rumble reaction.

I'm not sure that's the best use of him for three reasons:
    1) They've already started the build for Orton-Styles as a 1-on-1 blood feud
    2) They're already setting up the six-man/multiple man tag match with the Rollins and Owens/Joe feud
    3) Edge's Wrestlemania return should be a bigger deal than being in the mix of a six-man tag.

Maybe they put him against Triple H or even Undertaker? Give him the nostalgia spot on the card, like how they've used Batista and Sting in recent years?

I wonder if Edge can go strong enough to carry a match by himself after all that time away like he would need to against the Undertaker, but I could see them putting him with Triple H.

I like the nostalgia play, but at the same time, I kinda like how they hinted at the "fantasy booking" idea last night that they threw out when he was facing down Styles (I think it was Styles, anyhow). Would be fun to see him against someone we haven't seen before.

I think if Edge and Orton are friends, Orton’s been the good guy vs Styles, Orton and Styles settle their thing by the Chamber and Edge vs Styles is the Mania match.

    1) we dont need Orton/Styles again

    2) Styles is a dream match but its better than a Cena, HHH etc because its new

One thing to remember with Edge, too. Unlike Sting and Batista, he reportedly signed a three-year deal worth a lot of money.
