Well, yeah. A good friend of mine is a water polo coach and her son was a D1 water polo athlete, so I know the sport pretty well. It's insane. Dco was awesome on it.

I am an Olympics nut and I'm still not 100% sure where I stand on this whole thing. Do I think the Japanese people are getting hosed on all of this? Yes. Do I think this is going to be a "super-spreader event?" No, especially if Pfizer or J&J or whomever maybe set up shop at Narita and offer vaccinations to the traveling parties that don't have them (which, by early July will probably be less than a majority).

As cruel as it is to say a deal's a deal as it relates to the Tokyo organizing committee, I find myself wondering why the Japanese government hasn't done a better job producing/procuring vaccines, mostly because I personally really need this to happen.

Doc would get into his power-play mode during man-up situations and when a team scored, I kept waiting for the organ blast from Chicago Stadium.

A part of it is cultural. While other nations accepted the test results on Phizer, A-Z, etc., Japan wanted a second test done on Asian subjects before giving the OK.

    A classic.

Don't know what CBS was thinking putting Burghoff in the TOW. Guy only has fingers on one hand. You leave Jimmy Walker on the bench?

For nearly a hundred years every spring my high school holds a barge rope tug of war over a local river, with half the student body (the smart and handsome Greers) vs the other half (the ugly and dumber Platos). It’s an absolute blast but one year the rope snapped and dozens of kids were injured from rather serious rope burns on arms, legs and chests.

Reckon that *river* isn't as wide as the Mississippi. Sounds like a decent creek.

It’s a legit enough river for Middle Tennessee.

Japan currently has enough vaccine to inoculate its entire population (see AP story, below). The fact that the shots have barely been administered is the Japanese government's fault. It knew the 2021 Olympic dates more than a year in advance.

EXPLAINER: Why Japan has been slow to roll out vaccinations
