I wonder if the survey noted the likelihood that Japanese taxpayers will be on the hook for more $$$ should the Olympics be postponed to 2022.

 

Not 2021, but, man, Bolt was a machine.

 

Pollsters keep asking the wrong question. The IOC will not postpone the Games a second time. It's not an option.
The two choices are: hold them or cancel.

It was insane watching him never shift up beyond second or third gear in the prelims when he scanned the field about 20-30 meters in. Then again, he didn't get into fifth or sixth gear until maybe the final. Maybe. Pretty much the tiger playing with the mouse.

 

As great as Bolt was, it always seemed like he could have set the record even lower anytime he wanted too. Hell, he let up at the end of many races.

The men’s sprints were must-see TV in my house once every four years.
