OK, unless there's a rule I'm not aware of, I'm thinking that if the Pirates' catcher had made a good throw to the second baseman running to cover first and retired Baez, the run scored seconds earlier would have been negated. Is that the case here?

That is a bad team to begin with, but they are also missing their top three corner infielders. That is why a scrub like Craig is in the lineup.

 

Is Bo Bichette the best player who is a child of a former player since Barry Bonds? Lots of Ks, but he's pretty good, just hit one out at Yankee Stadium. I suppose Cody Bellinger, but he's really cratered after one great year.

Not including the Boones because they were in the Barry era. I'm sure I'm probably forgetting somebody else.

Yeah, probably, like I said I'd forget somebody. Bo sticks in my mind because I was a huge Dante Bichette fan when he played for the Rockies.
