Phils dealing for Gibson, Kennedy (sources)

Looks like the Phillies are getting some much-needed pitching help, closer Ian Kennedy and starter Kyle Gibson, from the Rangers. Former top prospect Spencer Howard is the biggest name going back to Texas.

Can I get a WAR comparison between what the Nats and Cubs have traded away?

Two of the biggest sell offs I can ever remember.

Looks like Bart is going the other way. If that is the case, they got a good one.

I'm hearing Bart and Lamont Wade Jr., but nothing firm.

Nice grab for the Giants. Fills a lot of needs. They must be counting on having Posey for a couple of more years to deal Bart.

    This is a Sabean-type deal.

Damn. I didn’t think Zaidi would do this kind of a deal right now. Good for him.

That would have been an insane return for Bryant. I heard the MLB Network crew debating it before the reality replaced the rumor on that one.

I live with a Cubs fan and any hope of having sex tonight just went to San Francisco, the South Side and New York.

There’s so much screaming. Texts between her and her family plotting terrible things for the Ricketts family.

I don’t dare tell them they should’ve been prepared for this and that I’ve seen more players traded away than she can imagine as an Indians fan and that I’m still secretly bitter about 2016 and am internally laughing….
