I'm rooting for a four way tie for the AL wildcards.

I thought they were fine as ESPN announcers go except for two things
    1. Their voices were the exact same. I thought it was a single announcer until one of them used the other's name and she responded.
    2. The PBP woman kept calling out the count after the next pitch was thrown. So guy fouls off a 0-1 pitch to go 0-2 and she would announce 0-1 and would hardly acknowledge that another pitch had been thrown in the mean time. Not sure if that was a style that she kept riffing about other things and would get behind on the count or if her remote feed was delayed so she would miss that another pitch had been thrown.
Other than that, they were really no worse than the others on ESPN who sound like guys who started following a team the day before and are trying to cover it up by overly emphasizing some anecdote they picked up in their pre-broadcast meetings.

For the theater of it, sure, but a pox upon you and your family for mentioning it. May your beer be flat, your steak come well done topped with ketchup and your little toe catch the end of the bed.

And I stubbed my big toe on the thousand pound wood bed frame last week. That was fun.

    And beer's for suckers.

Not a fan of similes in the lead. He’s probably better off for it.

That is a good lead. The column sounds like the stream of consciousness of a bitter fan, however. "Suddenly ice-cold Max Scherzer" refers to a streak of -- heavens -- two starts.

    1, into the parking lot

2, what's up with the bunny hop in the pea patch at third base?
