That hit definitely isn't a dribbler, or chopper.

So, the run didn't count? The Yankees didn't win 1-0 because Kubek didn't do his job by getting the runner in from third base, by any means necessary? All these years I thought the Yankees won that World Series, only to realize they didn't because Willie McCovey hit a line drive with two outs in the ninth.

The point is that pretty much anyone can hit into a bases loaded double play. Nothing special about it.

And it's not regarded as special. No statistical credit of any kind goes to the batter. Credit goes to the runner who somehow got to third. He gets a run scored.

Yea, maybe the only reason the run scored is because there was a fast runner on third. Perhaps with a different runner, Kubek’s grounder would have resulted in a force out at home.

OK, let’s see if I can get the right thread this time. I denounce myself and feel shame.

Snell Watch: In his San Diego debut, threw 86 pitches in 4 2/3 innings and got a no-decision. Four hits allowed, struck out eight. But still, 86 pitches. He probably wasn’t going to make it past the sixth in a best-case scenario.

    He looks testy.

Managers and coaches feel the need to be active participants in the games. Let the players play.

Kluber doesn't throw that hard but still has the movement.

2nd and 3rd, 2 outs, 0-0 in B-2, LeMahieu just hit a 3-bouncer that the 3rd baseman had to charge on and throw off-balance which pulled Vlad Jr. off the base, 1-0 Yankees.

    Shitty RBI.

Why wouldn't they just donate $25 a run?

If Vlad knew how to play first, it’s an out.
