The Dodgers aren't having much luck with injuries, either. The latest is starting pitcher Dustin May, who had been outstanding so far this season, hurt himself throwing a pitch in the second inning. The report is not particularly specific, but at this point, I'd actually be surprised if he didn't need a visit to Dr. Andrews.

The Brewers have 16 players on the IL. Yet they're 17-10. In part, , I presume, because they had built organizational depth. In part because nobody is particularly dominant as we still deal with the Trumpandemic.
The domination of pitchers over hitters is extreme even by early-season standards. The aggregate .232 BA means virtually every team is in play. Notable exception: the Tigers. As long as the Washington Baseball Team gets to play in the NL East, it will get to the heat of the summer beating its chest and bragging about #Natitude.

One Dodger has 7 RBIs today. Another Dodger has 8 RBIs today.

First time a team has had multiple players with ≥ 7 RBI in a game since the Rangers' 30-3 win over the Orioles on 8/22/2007. Second time since 1962.

It’s more mind-blowing because they don’t hit in the top third of the line-up.

Scherzer is going for a shutout, gets to top-9, gives up a leadoff homer to a guy named Isan with fewer than 15 ABs this season.

But he did close it out for the CG.

Make a play with the glove, Make a play with the bat.

Laureano stole a possible homer but definitely double or triple.

Comes up in the bottom half and hit an opposite field homer.
