He's better as a pro than I thought he'd be, after watching URI's Jared Terrell (a 10-day contract kind of guy) eat his effing lunch in the NCAA tournament. I still don't think he plays defense well enough to be a legitimate all-NBA player - his advanced defensive stats are significantly worse than Curry, his closest comparable.

The Mavs still won the trade, but it's not the all-time blowout it could have been.

It's going to be Knicks and Lakers in the Finals.

Knicks might want to worry about the Hawks before they send the advance scouts out to cover the Lakers.

LOL. Lakers are up 2-1 against a wounded Suns team and now they're going to the Finals? Maybe if Schroeder continues playing out of his mind. But AD and Bron alone won't drag that team there.

So the Celtics are more than a match for anybody in any game Tatum scores 50 or more.

OK, I was (likely) wrong on the Knicks.

Boy your post didn’t age 24 hours and they were down 2-1 to the Hawks when you wrote it. They would still need to go through the Bucks and the Nets to even get to the Lakers*. I’m not going to say it didn’t age well but...

*Lakers needed Chris Paul to get hurt to take control of this series. They still have to prove it against complete teams.

I think the Lakers are as good a pick as anyone to come out of the west. They're not playing particularly well but they're still going to knock out the Suns pretty easily. The Jazz and Nuggets are otherwise the class of the conference and I don't trust either of those teams in seven games against LeBron and AD.

It'll be the Bucks or Sixers out of the east. If I had to pick right now I think I'd take the Bucks over the Lakers in the finals.

The Knicks are hampered by a complete lack of talent. They can work hard, they can play some defense, but that's not a collection of good basketball players.

With Davis out with a groin injury I’d like to amend everything I just said about the Lakers.

Lakers look like dogshit with or without Davis.
