    I have no idea what the specifics are. We will all find out.

    Other way around. The statement came from Dolan. He didn't consult them and they didn't know about it until after it was released. They were distancing themselves from it. So Dolan fired them.

    The greatest thing about the Rangers is that Dolan has kept away. Players want to come play in NY and the reputation among players is that everything is first class and takes care of its players. I was certainly not attached to JD as team president, and while I think Gorton is fine, he hasn't been infallible. But the one thing I am certain about is that I don't want James Dolan taking an interest in the Rangers. He is the world's biggest idiot.

    That kind of bullshit is laughable, but believe me, he is actually clueless about how much worse he makes everything.

    If it was purely performance related, he could have fired them 3 weeks from now without the circus, obviously.

    I am still thinking about the absurdity of that moron.

    JD was hired less than 2 years ago. In two Covid-messed-up-seasons, a team that was starting from scratch and doing a rebuild hasn't performed well enough for the little idiot?

    Plus, if the team is so fricking talented and it is underperforming, don't you fire the coach, not the guys who assembled the talent?

    While I agreed with the sentiment behind the Rangers' statement on Twitter, the wording of it struck me right off the bat as odd and as something that clearly didn't come from a "hockey" guy. Bad as it was, I doubt anybody in hockey operations would have used "horrifying" to describe what Wilson did. I mean, the bar is set pretty high in that league - Tie Domi on Ulf Samuelsson and Todd Bertuzzi on Moore were an awful lot worse.

    James Dolan strikes again. What an idiot.

    Get it right to this point, then turf your top two executives who were overseeing this rebuild ... and looked to be on track, if not actually a little bit ahead.

    Word has it that Dolan will be trying to lure Mark Messier. Which means, with all due respect to Messier, that Dolan is star-f_cking. He doesn't want Messier because of his hockey executive sense and player evaluation skills. He just wants a name.

    I guess Dolan didn't learn from the Isiah Thomas fiasco.
