    I hope that Chris Drury is the right guy for this job.

    The sad thing is that other teams have been interested in him. A few teams wanted to interview him when they had GM openings.

    But what is maybe a deserving promotion will now be overshadowed by how Dolan did it.

    Six fights - including a line fight at the opening face-off - five minutes and zero goals at the Garden.

    Capitals did not have Tom Wilson out on opening faceoff, but the Rangers found him within three seconds of his on-ice debut.

    That was a joke - and I'm a Caps fan who readily admits Wilson was wrong. That shit proved nothing, changed nothing.

    I get that, but since Colin Campbell and George Parros – and Gary Bettman, by association – failed to do their jobs, the Rangers either felt like they had to stand up for themselves or let the league do whatever the hell it wanted.

    I am not a fight advocate by any means, but I fully understand what the Rangers are doing and why. If Parros, Campbell, etc., won't punish Wilson, they had to say "enough."

    Both Ducks analysts -- Brian Hayward and Guy Hebert (both ex-goalies) -- said Wilson did what he was supposed to do with Buchnevich, who was poking at the puck the goalie held. Panarin got what he deserved for jumping Wilson. They both said Wilson's fine was appropriate and there should be no suspension.
