Apparently there’s a few other documentaries that are being shelved, including the one on Lex Luger and the one on Vladimir the Superfan. I’m guessing the Luger one is in the shelf because Flair would likely be an important presence in it and right now, he’s toxic.

Thought I saw a headline this week that Flair was also pissed at WWE for how they've distanced themselves from him. Guessing that'll last a couple of years until he needs money and gets the slow walk back through the curtain, ala Hulk Hogan.

The Luger doc was supposed to come out this summer, long before the Dark Side controversy with Ric. I think it's more a casualty of all the chops WWE has done on the production side.

The only doc content they've really put out lately is stuff that extols the virtues of WWE: the Ruthless Aggression stuff, and the doc on the first show after 9/11.

That’s probably another factor. They really haven’t created that much new content that I’ve noticed. Maybe part of that is due to the pandemic, but they seem to be mailing it in.

I’ve seen four of the five Ruthless Aggression 2 episodes (I’ll try watching Shawn’s comeback soon). They’re OK, but, maybe it’s just me, but they seem a little more kiss-assey this time around. I liked how Finley got his due in the women’s episode.

No KOR? Better fit than LA Knight on that team.

Yeah, he gonna be All Elite soon.

The Ringer (Bill Simmons) is also supposed to be doing a big WWE documentary, but I haven't heard much about it lately. They did recently expand their wrestling-related pods from one to three, "acquiring" Cheap Heat in the process, which seems to imply some sort of loose partnership with Spotify as well. I thought the Andre doc they did a year or so ago was pretty good, with the caveat that anyone drawing a check from WWE probably isn't going to be as candid as truly needed for the project.

Not only has wwe cut production staff, theyve done a lousy job putting out new content since then network folded into Peacock. Cant be a coincidence.

They’ve done a lousy job putting out new content since Vince bought WCW.

Wow. Surprised they let that line get through.

It's criminal that they didn't resolve Miz/Morrison, but I never thought I'd be so glad to have Miz back ... just for something fresh.

Edge referencing Punk's "Miz" line from Dynamite and Miz leaving Morrison to get fired.

    Well then.

Yep, and to a fairly mild reaction.

Long Island crowd seems to be fairly quiet so far.
