As many women's tag teams as they've been putting together lately on NXT, I had a feeling that might be coming.

its the right thing. They shouldve been there from the start.....but I guess the Sasha/Bayley and making history of it all made that impossible.

Theres no time for it on the big shows. At some point Jax and Bayzler should drop them to the nxt champs and unify them.

I was going to say ... WWE is thinking outside of the box with its triple threat matches.

I think every show should have women’s tag team champions. There’s no reason that can’t be a part of a three-hour RAW, for sure, and SmackDown can make it work given all the random women’s tag team matches they already have with random storylines.

A fun piece to read. Mind you, these are the states they were legitimately born in -- not where they are billed from.

411MANIA | Ask 411 Wrestling: Who is the Best Wrestler From Each US State? (Part 1)

Hogan is the obvious pick for my home state of Georgia, but some of the runners-up I could round up: Big Boss Man, Xavier Woods, Cody Rhodes, Arn Anderson, Michael Hayes, Ron Simmons, Ken Shamrock and the entire Armstrong family

Billed from Georgia and you can add AJ Styles and Jake Roberts to the list.

Wisconsin should be easy to predict: The Crusher

Maybe Ed Lewis, who’s in the WWE Hall of Fame’s Legacy wing.

Not much to choose from: Austin Aries, Ken Anderson/Mr. Kennedy, Hornswoggle (who served me my food at DQ many years ago), Candice Michelle.

Just discovered Roderick Strong was born in Wisconsin. Tommaso Ciampa is not originally from Wisconsin.

I may be the only one who notices this, but I’m kinda amused by the some unintentional long-term storytelling by the E.

A few months ago, they had the contract signing where Reigns made Adam Pearce sign to have the match at the Rumble. Pearce signs, gets Roman to sign, then Pearce tells him all contracts have “card subject to change” on them.

Now we have Bryan and Reigns sign the contract, then Jey Uso says he should be a guest enforcer, then Edge says he should be, and they have a match lined up next week with Pearce’s approval.

But first, I was thinking that didn’t make sense, because the contract was already signed. Then I remembered ... card subject to change.

    Yes, I’m being anal.

I thought Mississippi had a lot more to choose from, since it used to be a big market for the Memphis territory, but the pickings are pretty slim. Some of the well-known wrestlers I associate with the state are from other places. I thought Junkyard Dog was from here, but he died here. Ted Dibiase lives here, and Ted Dibiase Jr. grew up here, but both were born in other places.
Given that, I guess Kamala is a pretty good choice.

Looking up New York, I thought it would be easy, and there’s a good amount, but not as much as I thought there would be.

I thought Mick Foley, but he was born in Bloomington, Indiana. On the other hand, Kerry Von Erich, who we always think of Texas, was born in Niagara Falls (where Fritz was wrestling, and sadly, their oldest son died as a child).

Gorilla Monsoon and Maniac Mark Lewin are among the old-school born in New York. Ricky Steamboat, Chris Jericho, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Chyna, Beth Phoenix, a bunch of old ECW guys (Dreamer, Tazz, Sabu, Bubba and D-Von Dudley), Adrian Adonis, the Brooklyn Brawler (of course), Paul Heyman. Modern day guys like Karrion Kross and MJF.

I think he's a victim of timing, but every time I hear Apollo Crews talk with his "accent," it's as if he's a Zamunda reject from "Coming 2 America."
