By the way - Daniel Bryan's contract expired last week, per Figure Four Online and other places. They're reporting that WWE is pushing hard to re-sign him, which makes a lot of sense, because he *is* a guy who would make an immediate splash if he showed up on AEW. (I think he'd make an even bigger splash if he showed up six months from now, when he's been out of sight, out of mind, but hey, nobody seems to have that kind of patience anymore.)

Watching the second part of the Pillman story. Seeing the part of Vince "interviewing" Melanie on the Raw the night after was so low and classless, even for Vince. I remembered the infamous angle at the house with the gun, but not that one.

I know the death contributed in a way to her demons, but I have little sympathy for Melanie Pillman. However, God bless everything about Brian's sister for basically serving as a mom to the kids, and I'm glad to see Brian Jr. seemingly having overcome any issues he faced to flourish.

I think Bryan’s working everybody. There’s no one better than working the smart fans and using real life stuff that’ll get on the internet than he is. He did the same kind of stuff before his comeback

The “Throwback” stuff on Smackdown was harmless. Great ending to the show, with Cesaro taking advantage of Jimmy and Jey arguing to beat the hell out of Roman, then Jey, then a reluctant Jimmy and leaving all three of them laying.

It looked as if he reached up to his face during a quick camera switch. It was like he realized the match was over and he had not busted himself open yet. It was really dumb, and then for AEW to follow that with a medic getting to Darby Allin within a minute at the top of the venue when the medic was supposedly ringside or on the ground level?

I rewatched that in slow-mo and thought he was just wiping away the blood. The location just above his eyelid and below his eyebrow made me think it was hardway. But I could easily be wrong.

Agreed. That was interminable. This US-UK feud thing was done way better a million years ago by Zbyszko and Regal.
