He's in the perfect position to have a gimmick as the gimmick-stealer. Use a moveset combining all of the old Four Horsemen signature moves like the figure four, spinebuster and slingshot suplex, and then introduce himself as "BRRRRROCK Anderson ... Anderson!"

 

When Schiavone introduced him, you could tell he intended to pause for a second as he said Cody would be teaming with "Brock ..." and the crowd at Daily's Place deflating immediately after.

That was a great ladder match, but part of me was hoping for Virgil to work his way into the match somehow.

 

Ha. The mics caught the ref telling Kross to "sell, sell, sell" after he got O'Reilly to pass out and they rang the ball.

 

Interesting twist at the end about Regal thinking about quitting as NXT GM. Maybe a return of Samoa Joe in a pipe dream?

 

would be awesome. Was a good if uneventful Takeover. The weird thing about the Regal angle was every match a clean finish….whats so out of control that he’s ready to quit?!?

 

It was the constant backstage fights between the guys in the 5-way and not (Cartman voice) respecting his authority.

 

Didn't have a chance to watch the whole A&E show on finding Andre's stuff after Takeover, but I'm really enjoying it with all the extra footage.

Question I have: just how long did they have the material with Big Show and Mark Henry in the can? Not only has Show been gone from the company since the beginning of the year, but he's clean-shaven in this episode.

All the little cups of coffee (with the Vikings and Profits, that post-Mania match with Drew, his stuff with Orton), he had late in his WWE run, I remember him having facial hair. Last time I remember him being clean faced was the end of his feud with Braun a few years ago, when he got slammed through the cage wall.

 

Finally, the AEW vs. WWE crossover we've been looking for!

 

I was rooting for that too.
