This guy has lost. Period. Got played to get Kiffin a little more money out of the folks in Oxford.

I don't see $9 million per season. But it's not my money.

Rhule's agent is good. Got seven years out of David Tepper. Now eight out of Trev Alberts?

Don't get me wrong ... Rhule is an excellent coach and seems to be an actual decent guy. But waking up some deep-sleeping ghosts in Lincoln is going to be a serious challenge.

Yeah, the over the top backlash is a bit ridiculous. One reply said he should face criminal charges because of the effect it had on Ole Miss' players.
We've all been there with these things, right? Even when there's a kernel of truth in a coaching search story it changes five minutes later. It's why I've adopted the philosophy that I really just don't give a shit anymore. Tell me when somebody is hired, or fired. I'll put it on my radar but I'm not getting swept up in the breathless minute to minute changes of something that has a lot more professional risk than reward to it.

Several years ago we had a local high school coaching change. As the search process was nearing its end, someone somehow got my phone number (I didn't recognize it and it wasn't in my phone) and texted me that they would tell me who the new coach was "for the right price."
He wouldn't tell me who he was, but when I asked him what the "right price" was he said a small fee. I told him he greatly overestimated my net worth.

Agree with it all. But welcome to the SEC. Even the coaching rumors Just Mean More.

Harbaugh will probably get a nice little bump, as a F.U. to Day and Midnight Mel.

If you had to rank Big Ten coaches now, where would Rhule fall in that list? Definitely not better than Harbaugh or Day and probably behind Fitzgerald, but he might be the best of the rest. Ferentz might have a couple years left. Fleck hasn’t won anything in Minnesota. Schiano ain’t winning anything at Rutgers. Franklin is good for two losses a year. Bielema appears to have things going in the proper direction, but too soon to tell.

Harbaugh should head to indy. He will never be more beloved and put rhe program back on its feet. Imagi e what he would do with a decent qb.

Homeless people are ahead of Black Zook, who is struggling with the flaccid penis known as Michigan State.

Would you consider Day an elite coach given the talent he’s pissed away the last two years?

Justin Fields: 1-0; CJ Stroud: 0-2. Just sayin'.

Rhule is a guy coming off a cosmic failure in the NFL. Dramatically incapable of any and all aspects of the gig. That doesn't necessarily mean he'll fail at Nebraska, but it's the most recent item on his CV and it sure wouldn't make me want to hire him.
