A whole lot of assumptions here, but I will at least give the guy credit for, I presume, trying to do journalism.

Batman made a great point earlier, though. It’s not worth it. But, I’m old, tired, short-handed and just trying to get the paper out.

I don’t mind Lane lighting him up during the week, because it messes with his team’s mindset. But backing the bus up for another pass after blowing the Egg Bowl is gratuitous.

That seems a bit sanctimonious, but point taken.

The other reason people paid attention was the same reporter accurately called John Cohen becoming Auburn AD just before it happened.

The schools that post their openings per state law always intrigue me. We know who they’re hiring. Who are you expecting to send in their resume in the one day the job is open, the ghost of Pop Warner? I get that it’s a requirement, it just amuses me. I’d love to see the resumes they actually DO get and interview one of those guys/gals who applied.

Thank you for sharing that. I didn’t know. Contrary to what others might think, there are “talking heads” in small markets who try to do legitimate sports journalism. I was once one of them, but that seems a lifetime ago.

The Athletic is reporting that Colorado has offered the gig to Prime. He’s stupid if he takes that job.

How far has that program fallen that we say a SWAC coach would be stupid to leave for a P5 job?

How far, and quickly, has Taggart fallen? Damn. Grab the riches while you can.

Charlie Strong also fell quickly. When the mojo is gone, it’s gone.
