If Sanders pulls a Midnight Mel, he owes CU $15 million in liquidated damages if he leaves after the first year. $10 million after the second, $8 million after the third and $5 million after his fourth or final years.

In other coaching news, Ed Orgeron is a finalist for the UNLV job.

I NEED this to happen. That would be amazing.

OTOH, everyone knew Urban Meyer wasn't going to stay at Utah very long. But he sure made them a better program while he was there and set the table for their future.

One year of Dennis Erickson at Wazzu led to his buddy Mike Price being hired, and a decade of success. Erickson also greatly raised Oregon State's profile, even if he bailed for the NFL after four years.

    Sometimes one guy's short-term impact has a long-term impact.

Colorado probably sold 2,000 season tickets today. Real TV networks will want to televise their games, not just the Pac-12 Network. Every sports talk show in the country is talking about Colorado football. It's already getting better.

If it is all well and good for Coach Prime to cash in quickly with Colorado, then I don’t want to hear any more about “Midnight Mel.”

Question No. 1, how fast does his kid (QB) transfer to CU? Over under is 1 week.

Let's all rip on "Midnight Mel" and PrimeTime but no one rips "Midnight Modell"? Okay they do but he got hundreds of millions in subsidies and increased franchise value so he said "WTF?" right?

If you want me to denounce every rich person in football with skeevy morals, I’ll need to charge an hourly rate.

I think a lot of people ripped Art Modell 30 years ago for what he did with the Browns.

Jackson State still has one game left, the Celebration Bowl against North Carolina A&T, on Dec. 17. Deion has said he will coach Jackson State in that game. So I'll take the over and say Shedeur Sanders waits until at least Dec. 18.
However, during his introductory presser at Colorado, Deion also said Shedeur will be his quarterback next year. So did Deion commit a recruiting violation already by saying a player from another school will be playing at Colorado next year, before the player entered the portal?

You can argue about Orgeron being hosed out of the full-time gig at USC and say he got too short of a leash at LSU… but damn, that is going to be an epic trainwreck.

Man, Lane Kiffin just is not letting go of this.
