I think arrogance was part of it. I think Monty also made Jason Kidd look like the second coming of John Wooden.

Plan A was give the ball to Booker and CP3 and bask in their genius. Those guys didn’t do shit and there was no Plan B. Ayton was laughably misused - it was a bad look, but I get why he told Monty “fuck you” when he went to the bench.

On the bright side, the Suns jersey I ordered when the playoffs started arrived today.

Also when average mavs players hit 3s, they win. When kleiba and bullock go o for 16 on 3s like tonight, they gave no chance

I'm a Dubs fan and I'm pissed the Suns aren't here either. I was looking forward to the matchup for 2 months now.

I've said this for years. Someone thinks this is a good idea, but there is no way they watch the broadcast.

The nadir was the CBS NFL crew in KC in January, and someone was singing, and the crew literally couldn't talk or hear each other.

One of the worst ideas in sports.

He’ll never get a vote as GOAT, justly, but If Curry gets his 4th ring with the rest of his resume is he top 10-15? Couple of MVPs, lots of All Stars, 2 scoring championships. He played 3 years of college so aggregate stats won’t put in upper echelon of gross scoring and assists. But more than any active player, Curry’s game did change the face of basketball. You really have to respect his shot from well beyond the arc and at 34 you still have to respect his ability and desire to drive through the lane. He’s not a 6-7 or 6-9 275 PG. He’s 6’2” 180.

Nobody cares who you beat, just that you won, that's what I've always heard. Do you remember who the Lakers beat in the Finals to finally win in '72? Or the Sixers in '67? Or the Bulls? I don't really mean the Final opponent, but those on the way to the championship.

You picked three bad examples. Lakers-Bucks in '72 was widely assumed to be the real Finals. Sixers/Wilt getting the Celtics/Russell monkey off their backs in '67 was likewise. And of course, when the Bulls won their first title, they swept the Bad Boy Pistons in a real grudge match to make the Finals.

You got me, I picked bad ones. Bulls finally getting by the Pistons was cool and the Pistons getting by the Celts too. But didn't the Pistons not congratulate the Bulls whereas the Celts congratulated the Pistons?

Yes, the bad boy Pistons slinked off the court like the punks they were.
