The histrionics from both teams make this one pretty tough to watch, even if it's competitive.

Marcus Smart needs to stop that thing where he jumps and makes a snow angel in the air. It doesn’t work.

And if the Celtics manage to pull away here and win, there have been two things happening down the stretch over and over again that are kind of quiet: 1) Horford boxed his man out on three straight possessions, to prevent the Heat from getting boards. 2) Smart has caught the ball at the 3-point line, open but with a man closing out, and he's elected to drive hard at the basket. Just really little, fundamental things that previous Celtics teams didn't do, and Udoka deserves credit for getting them there.

    What a horrible shot choice.

    I'm sure it's happened.

2-2 series. Road teams wins all three games thereafter.

It was surreal. There was no urgency and there was a minute to go in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals. No urgency in the crowd. For the Celtics. For the Heat.

I guess chalk it up to sheer exhaustion.

I had thought that whoever won the Bucks-Celtics series would win the title but now I don't know.

I think the Warriors probably should win, but the Celtics are a tough matchup for them... and if the Warriors get sloppy with the ball -- and they do that a lot -- Boston will make them pay.

I'll go Warriors in six, but the only result that would really surprise me would be an easy Celtics win.

It kind of seemed like both teams were running on fumes by the end, but the Heat at least had momentum on their side. I think if the game went another 2 minutes, they probably win it. Understandably, Boston went super short on the bench - Time Lord started, but only played 15 minutes. Horford logged 44 minutes.

First-time poster (in this thread) who just watched his first NBA game of the year (well, most of it).

    Three thoughts:

    1. I know, I know … I’m a cranky old man. But the teams combined to shoot 17-for-62 from 3-point range. That’s a whole lotta clank. Was tough to watch at times.

    2. After the first quarter, both teams turned it up a few notches on defense, and that was good to see. A little of that in the first 12 minutes, Miami wins.

    3. Didn’t know Al Horford was still in the league. Good thing for Boston that he is.
