Looked up some random Finals from way way back when, like the late '50s and early '60s, and the seven gamers were done in two weeks, like 12-15 days. No back to backs.

Even one back to back in the Finals would add a nice little wrinkle. Maybe games 3 and 4.

Last playoff series I remember covering with a back-to-back was the '82 Eastern Conference Finals. Games 3 and 4 of Sixers-Celtics were on Saturday and Sunday afternoon.

If 10u travel football coaches can get their kids up for three games in three days, so can the NBA!!!!!

Lakers and Suns played back-to-back games (3 and 4) in 1990 West semis.

As did Clippers-Jazz (4 and 5) in 1992 first round, but that was dictated by the riots.

My quick guess (couldn't possibly remember) would be that arena scheduling conflicts were the reason for both these back-to-backs.

Don't know about the Lakers-Suns series, but the Coyotes weren't around then. It was Mother's Day weekend.

Clippers-Jazz was because of the riots. Game 3 was at the Sports Arena on April 28. Riots started on April 29.

Game 4 wasn't played until Sunday, May 3 in Anaheim. Game 5 was the next night in Salt Lake City.

You losers just need to move out here to the Best Coast where we get to bed at a normal time.

I lived out west for eight years. I think that's why I've developed an affinity for European soccer and F1 ... love having live sports on in the morning.

Neil Schon just did the anthem. A title on the line and Journey is now part of your team's story.

Warriors lose by 40, Celtics in four.

I'm uncomfortable with Journey talk outside of the politics thread.
