I used to do mock drafts regularly
    I always liked playing GM
Haven’t done any since I retired but I did one this year
Amazing how easy it is to find information now
Back in the day you either paid up for Kiper or Joel Buschbaum of Pro Football Weekly

Remember when skipping bowl games or sitting out a year would hurt development and draft position?

Mel Kiper via satellite is going to be a disaster, isn’t it? They already talk over each other in-person. Imagine it now.

Arizona GM Steve Keim is a home boy from my daughter's old high school. As such, he was interviewed on Facebook by a local. It seems the Wunderlic is no longer a valid measuring stick.

Ripping Jets picks is a sport unto itself. But reminded that when the Jets most recently went to consecutive AFC title games, the O-line had Mangold and Ferguson from the same 1st round, and another team's 1st rounder Damien Woody.

Also recall the last Jints SB team in 2007 got contributions from almost every Jerry Reese draft pick that year. It happens but not often.

I have a book somewhere, called The Draft, which followed around players, agents, scouts, and the Falcons brass for a year as to how they dealt with the draft. The best line in the book was from a scout, who said "Do you really think we listen to Mel Kiper?"

Kicker Mike Nugent in the second round when they didn't have a first round pick.

To be fair though, some of those in the montage don't belong with the others. Lam Jones and Johnny Mitchell were serviceable for a few years. Freeman McNeil was a star. O'Brien had a solid career, albeit not Marino-esque. Lageman, who was probably the biggest reach, was quite good and had a 10-year career. Blair Thomas and Kyle Brady had some adequate moments, but like O'Brien, the Jets could have picked a future Hall of Famer instead.

Roger Vick, on the other hand, was meh at best.
