I'm to the point that I don't even scan mock drafts anymore. I'm no longer anything near the NFL fan that I once was, and there are so damn many of them now that I reach saturation long before draft week.

Oh, but the QBs, Wilkerson, and Gholston. Just wastes. Probably more a failure of the team development rather than a bad draft pick, but still

I just look at them to see who my team might draft. Three round projections and proposed trades are silly.

I didn’t know there would be a draft thread and this fits better here

For fans, the draft starts as a guessing game and ends as a list. Americans love both those things, so it's no surprise it's popular. But lists are not great TV, not for me anyway. I'm in Brooklyn and going out to dinner with my son and his wife tonight. I will follow the draft by going online when I get back to the hotel. ESPN.com and NFL.com will provide the list, and I can come here for snark and commentary much better than will be offered by any broadcast entity.

I see mock drafts just like I do those who try to seed the March Madness field a month before Dayton. A waste of paper, ink and bandwidth.

I never understood the obsession some had with the Wonderlic anyway. But I have the same feelings about the NFL Combine (which, unfortunately, has begat a whole industry of combines for high school kids, because college scouts!) and pro timing days.

Weather in LV possibly affecting the draft.

Coupled in the wagering with preseason polls the day after the NCAA championship game.

Basically any "Way too early..." prediction thread is a bunch of hooey.
