Cool tribute to Shelton Benjamin on the 20th anniversary of his main roster debut.

You know it's important when Mia Yim said something nice.

Watched WWE/Peacock's doc on Flair. It covers a lot of the same turf as the 30 for 30 special, but it dug deeper into all the moles and warts, especially Reid's death and the spiral it put him into (drinking straight from sunrise to sundown). No holds barred with the language.

Only topics it didn't touch on, understandably, was the TNA tenure and that godforsaken "last match" (other than a still at the end). Basically went from the match with HBK and Reid's death, to Charlotte's emergence, to his near-death.

They also didn’t touch on the Plane Ride From Hell, or any of his other poor behavior. Heck, Flair is still talking about having sex with other women while being married to Wendy. Did they think about asking her what she thought of what he was saying?

I did like how they dug a little deeper into his adoption. Flair mentioned it in his biography, but didn’t go into much detail. I do find it interesting that he’s not interested in finding out more about his parents or the potential sibling.

Max Caster to Jeff Jarrett: "You're stealing money like it's Kurt Angle's wife."

    DAMN.

My wife and I have gotten in the habit of watching old episodes of Quantum Leap on Peacock.

Episode we watched tonight had Scott Bakula playing one of a "Soviet" tag team in 1950s Atlanta. The bad guy in the episode is played by Terry Funk as a crazy (quite a stretch, I know), somewhat fictionalized version of himself.

Funk did some acting back then. He was in "Roadhouse" as well, which was in that same timeframe.

I remember that episode as well. I thought it was funny that Terry was in there.

Terry also did a minor role as the rich grandfather’s bodyguard in Stallone’s “Over the Top.”

Dynamite has some solid matches last night, Bryan-Page was pretty good and did a very good job of showing Page can be a legit contender. That Mox/Claudio-Top Flight match was terrific, I wasn't expecting anything decent but they really put Top Flight over. The trios match was bonkers, who knows what they have planned for the finale. Poor Wardlow, they still don't know what to do with him. Looked to me when he went to the mat after trying to powerbomb Joe that he briefly forgot what leg he was supposed to be selling. He gets his ponytail cut off and Darby Allin has to come and save him from big bad Joe.

Yeah Wardlow’s more or less dead and I dont see how Darby can beat Joe if they big guy couldn’t. Talk about stuck in the mud. And I love Joe but sheesh

A bunch of old 70s, 80s and 90s movies just felt more "authentic" because they'd have legitimate tough guys in the small roles like that. I mean, if they're barely going to speak, might as well have a guy standing there that looks the part.

Too bad, I thought he was so underutilized during the whole MJF bodyguard thing and after squashing a bunch of guys he gets a title run and eventually has to get bailed out from a beatdown a guy half his size.
