Great crowd, too. That always adds a lot to it.

I don't know how Day 2 can match up to Day 1. The only lemon tonight (other than the injury to Boogs) was Charlotte/Ronda

The only potential great workrate matches are the Raw tag, Edge/AJ and Roman/Brock (if they're inspired).

Pat vs. Theory could be good (probably not as good as Pat vs. Cole), but I'm not inspired by the women's tag, and Sami vs. Knoxville is a TBA for me. I expect nothing out of Omos/Lashley.

You're telling me they couldn't have given us something like an IC or US ladder match instead of Vince's latest Foreign Giant of the Month?

Charlotte/Ronda was OK. It suffered from following up two classics and Ronda’s not really polished, which was fine when she first started because it told the story of converting from MMA. I’d have given them a B-, following two matches that were A’s.

Night 2 has a tough act to follow.

Austin-Owens blew me away. I wasn't sure what to expect.
Going in, I figured it'd be a standard talk show segment where Austin and maybe a few other Texas legends come out and beat up Owens to send the crowd home happy.
Then, when it turned into an actual match, I figured it'd be a couple of minutes, tops, with Austin hitting a couple of moves and a stunner to send the crowd home happy.
Then, against all odds, it turned into a bonafide match — and a pretty damn good one, at that, with a unique finish of Owens taking himself out with the chair. For them to go 10 minutes or so and for Austin to take some tough bumps outside the ring was incredible.

    Seconded. All of this.

It’ll be fun to read Austin’s and Owens’ perspectives on this match when they do interviews.

When they labeled it as no-holds barred, I figured that was for Austin to get help from all the other Texas legends. He didn't really use any of the plunder to help his cause -- more Owens using it on himself.

Cody’s interview with Shoemaker on the Ringer pods is short but outstanding.

whenever we get to him vs Reigns for a belt the family vs family promos are gonna be all time great stuff

So in one weekend, we have what is presumably the absolute final match of Steve Austin's career; the Undertaker going into the sunset with his Hall of Fame induction; and Triple H leaving his boots in the ring.
The "End of an Era" match was 10 years ago, but damn if it doesn't feel like it really happened this weekend.

Gable Steveson introduced before the match with Chad Gable? I'd that doesn't telegraph things...

I like how after Montez did the flip over the corner, I don't think he intended to land clean on his feet and instead fell on his own.
