Amazing that 3 of the 4 playoff teams may end up with new coaches in 2024.

I think it's interesting that Washington just didn't go with elevating Grubb.

I get wanting a guy that has power 5 head coaching experience, and I'm a Fisch fan but considering what they have done the last two years, and what you could have mitigated in portal exodus, he seemed like a natural successor. Of course being Bama's OC could mean a big-boy job after next season so in the long run it may not matter.

I’m sure this will work out fine.

What's the problem? For once, the players have some control.

I think they have more than "some" control at this point. Unlimited transfer power, never-ending eligibility, NCAA folding on everything, including enforcement of recruiting violations.
There have always been conflicts between players and administration on coaching hires. The players always want an internal promotion. Administrators have a bigger picture in mind.
My question is whether the conflicts in the collective era will be different or more tricky to handle than conflicts between players and donors pre-NIL.

Don't really disagree, but the pendulum is swinging back -- at a rapid rate and no one is really in control of this and it has spiraled out of control to the point that there is utter chaos.

Sounds like John Mackovic is the one coach who could bring the factions of Arizona together again.

Say it ain't so! But just like Kansas City, he's gone about as far as he can go at SJSU.

And just like that, the entire roster entered the portal

Including, perhaps, Brock Purdy's little brother, who announced for SJSU over the weekend.
