Maybe he will be great, maybe he will never pan out. But right now he’s a marginal G League prospect.

Much like Zaire Wade, I suspect his long-term future will be in the family legacy management business. On his name, he can probably bounce around at the end of the bench at the NBA level or play in the G-League for a while.

A pathetic team. I don’t know what Ishbia can do with this, but this team is embarrassing.

When you’re out scoring a team 31-18 in the third and it only cuts the deficit to 20, that’s horrible.

And the Suns could miss the play-in if they get a little help from the Pelicans (it’s possible but not likely). They could be swept worse than UCONN opponents in the first round.

I’m not a doctor… but the injury Giannis suffered tonight sure looks a whole lot like an Achilles.

    Damn.

The late run makes it look way more respectable, especially since Harden and Leonard were DNPs. Beal has fallen off a cliff and is about league average this year - FGA per 36 are down 4, but his turnovers have only fallen 0.4 despite taking less shots, and his FTA per 36 has gone from 4.9 to 2.7. Durant has also had an incremental loss in production you'd expect from age. Booker is about the same. Vogel and/or Jones has killed them with the reliance on "name" but bad veterans. About 1,800 minutes (28 mpg) dumped on Eric Gordon, who's been bad. Grayson Allen is fine, but not the kind of guy who should be playing 33 MPG.

With those big three contracts, the Suns weren't going to do a lot better than Grayson Allen and the likes in filling in the margins around them. Goes without saying that you're fucked if you rely on KD and Book and they combine to shoot 9-for-33 in a big game. The Suns had usually reserved these stinkers for games against non-playoff teams, so last night is a bit alarming. Nine of their 33 losses are to teams that won't make the postseason, which is something to remember as they scrap to get out of the play-in.

No Achilles tear but still a question mark for the start of the playoffs
