    Ham will always have winning the In Season Tournament on his resume.

    So it was Ham's fault that the Lakers were:

    relying on Russell to do better than shoot 6-20;
    relying on Hachimura to be an effective No. 3;
    relying on Taurean Prince and Cam Reddish off the bench; and
    Gabe Vincent was the big add.
    He'll likely be like Mike Brown, in hindsight the story will be that the Lakers were the problem, not the coach.

    I will quote my own post from January:

    They didn't make a trade, they didn't fire Ham at the time, and here they are.

    Did Darvin Ham deserve to get fired? The answer, as always, is deserve has nothing to do with it. The team wasn't good enough and it was clear all year. He certainly wasn't terrible. His lineup decisions were mystifying early on, but he kind of figured that out. But bottom line, this team was mediocre at best. They might be better next year with a new coach. There is absolutely no reason to believe they'd be better next year with Ham still in charge.

    The chance that the Lakers will be better next year is miniscule. and would remain so if the shades of Red Auerbach and John Wooden were to be co-coaches.

    And you would replace him with which coach who could make the whole team better? Be realistic. Don't say Phil.

    Phil's a clown.

    First two names on my list would be Ty Lue and Kenny Atkinson.

    If we’re not going to use the playoffs thread we should kill it off.

    NBC's broadcasts are the worst. NFL,

    That or a coaching carousel. I know tradition is not to start an offseason thread until after the Finals.

    How do the Wolves beat the ever-living shit out of the Nuggets twice in a row then lose at home by 27?

    I can rarely hear Doris or JJ during the run on play, and it happens on other NBA telecasts as well.

    Is it their sound mix, or my sound bar that's the problem?
