    I think this storm buoys Meatball and sinks him at the same time. Meatball's good at hurricanes, but at the same time he has to receive Dark Brandon's disaster largesse on his terms. That killed Christie's higher political aspirations to a lesser degree after Sandy.

    The 90s came with their own set of problems. grotesque things that were said were usually ignored, and the moron didn't triple down because he didn't have other morons egging him on.

    capacity for shame died very early on in this century, not coincidentally with the rise of reality tv.

    Idalia at 944 mb and dropping. This will easily bomb out to a 4 when the wind speeds catch up.

    Looks like ground zero for the eye wall making landfall will be southwest of Perry in about an hour or so. Cat 4.

    Either none of the cameras are in the right spot, or the wind doesn't seem to be as bad as I'd think at 125-130 mph.
    The storm surge is terrible and what does the most damage.
