We were right on the verge of a softball holy war next weekend in Acadiana. But after shutting out Washington for a combined 13 innings, McNeese State gave up seven runs in the top of the seventh.

<<Woman doing color commentary complains that she was tossed too quickly and “you don’t see that happen to guys.”>>

Spoken like someone who truly has not watch or followed MLB in the past few years, or who isn't very observant if they have.

BTW, since I'm on this thread, congratulations to the SDSU ladies, who advanced out of the LA regional.

If ever a sport needed a pitch clock, it's softball.

I admit I'm already dubious about grown women playing on a field with Little League dimensions. Tried to watch the 7th inning of the SDSU-Liberty game last night but had to quit after watching the third baseman come in a talk to the SDSU pitchers after every single pitch, and watching the first SDSU pitcher go on a walkabout after every pitch (or so it seemed).

    A pretty routine half-inning (HR, K, pitching change, F7, F7) took about 20 minutes.

She turned around 180 degrees - almost stopped - to yap at the umpire while running out a home run. Pull that in MLB you get chucked on the spot. They'd let you run out the home run, then tell you to go sit in the locker room as soon as you touched the plate.

Too bad they're on the opposite side of the bracket, or we could have UT vs. UT for the right to play Utah.

If you had 2:56 pm CDT for the first rain delay of the SEC baseball tournament, come collect your winnings.

When was the opening pitch of the first game? I would have bet that.

9:32 am. Weather should be clear after today.

Meanwhile, East Carolina has gone from leading 9-3 after seven innings to trailing 11-9 in the ninth to now forcing extras versus USF.

And insult to injury, USF rallies for the win.
