Hurd has pitched well for them. Hopefully he can give them a quality start, the hitters can give them a lead, and then they bring Skenes out of the bullpen for the last couple of innings to close it out.
Or they get up 10-2 in the seventh inning and Skenes doesn't have to pitch at all, would be an even better scenario.

 

Or Florida is up 10-2 and he doesn't have to pitch at all ... the best scenario!

 

I went looking to see who's representing Skenes. (Translation: Is it Scott Boras?) I found a tweet that said Crews is represented by Boras. Skenes is not.

 

The mystery and drama abound.

For as good as most of the rest of the CWS has been, including Game 1 of the Finals, these last 2 have been duds.

I see no possible scenario he gets in.

 

The only reason he needs to go into the pen right now is to order bottle service for the guys.

 

There’s just no reason for it.
Every Pirates scout is screaming for him to not get in.
All that can happen out there is bad.
