It's one thing to completely fuck up an understandable attempt to get your first big contract. It's another to be one of the highest-paid QBs who has been placated for years STILL whining about how he is being treated.

Also, how much do you think the other owners HATE Jimmy Haslam right now?

At some point, the Rodgers nonsense boils down to this: His own family hates him.

That's the part I don't think Jackson understands, the NFL ownership is heavily invested in not going after a trade if it means they have to guarantee contracts to QBs, then edge rushers will demand them, star DBs, left tackles...it will destroy the salary cap. Which has kept the league very profitable before they sell one ticket for a game.

Not quite. Guaranteed contracts don't destroy the salary cap so much as they force the owners to actually spend money on a year to year basis rather than amortizing it into the near, medium and long-term future through "restructuring" contracts. That means actual cash spending, not Hollywood accounting spending.

Report: Georgia DL Jalen Carter has been taken off NFL Draft board.

WTF does that even mean? He can't be drafted?
    Horrifically unclear headline and tweet.

The teams have to put guaranteed money in escrow at the time of the signing. Also, they are a cap problem. Releasing a player with a guaranteed contract offers no relief and a player has no reason to renegotiate.

Isn't that what most headlines are now? Just unclear enough to get you to click?
