This will not end well. Never figured the shield to be the first to pimp it playoffs to streaming.

They don't give one shit about the fans. They do give many shits about $110 million.

The streaming will be supplemented by over-the-air broadcasts in the markets of the two teams involved, just as happens with the ESPN and Amazon Prime games. That will keep indignant Congresspeople off the league's back.
Also, if the Bengals or Jaguars are back in the playoffs, no question one of them gets this game. No way the Cowboys, Chiefs, 49ers or either New York team is in it.

The Texans teams of the 2010s would have been perfect for this

As the Dean said in Back to School — “in Mr. Mellon’s defense, it was a really big check”.

College football title game has been on a Monday night for several years.

I think we'll see the college football season start a week earlier in a couple of years to avoid the first round games not being played on the first Saturday the NFL is allowed to play Saturday games in mid-December.

Yes because they have been ducking a head-to-head matchup with playoff Shieldball, even though Saturday night is usually the worst matchup of the weekend (aka the AFC South Special).

They should go away from Monday and push it to like Thursday between wild card and divisional weekend, give it some space from the NFL wild card weekend.
