2023 Pro Wrestling Thread

Up Up Down Down has had a series of field day-style games over the last week, with a tee-ball home run derby today. This one was a good one, especially Raquel getting laughed at by Braun (her boyfriend, I think), who's the son of a legendary slow-pitch softball slugger.

 

Well, shit. Chelsea finally seemed to overcome all the curses of her past WWE experiences, and now it's her tag team partner who gets injured.

That stinks. As agonizing as the authority figure Sonya storyline was, her and Chelsea were really vibing as the Fighting Karens. Hoping they can maybe find a suitable replacement partner for Chelsea, but not sure who. Zoey Stark once they finish the Trish storyline?

 

For the next round of Cody vs. Seth, they should have the first-ever Shoes Match. Cody wrestles in wingtips and Seth wrestles in the croc boots.

 

That was great. Roman put his hands up just at the perfect time to make it believable.

 

A hometown hero wins in WWE? Vince really must be out pocket after that spinal surgery.

 

Helluva fatal fourway. Gable wins, and his young son has the same singlet that he has.

 

That quadruple German superplex spot was insane.

 

I don’t know what kind of good or bad terms Honky Tonk Man is with the E these days, but it’d be fun if he tried to get involved as Gable tries to chase down Gunther. Since Payback is in Pittsburgh a few days before the record, have Honky aim the guitar for Gunther and nail Kaiser instead.

And maybe Angle can get involved as well.

 

Nice continuity from the weekend. Becky talked on social media about turning lemons into lemonade from not being in SummerSlam, and she actually brings lemonade to the broadcast table.

 

Hilarious. Shinsuke and Saxton are the same height, but they have Shinsuke stand in a box to make him look 6 inches taller.

 

Slate praises Orange Cassidy as the best wrestler working today.
