Finally watched the Jannetty episode of DSOTR. Man, what a piece of work.

The shame of it is, if he hadn’t fucked up so much, he could have had a solid singles career after his escape through the window. Not necessarily an all-time run like HBK, but he could have been a solid IC/midcard guy in the WWF, jump to WCW, maybe be the NWO’s cruiserweight guy, have a solid nostalgia run in early-mid 2000s WWE and then make the occasional legends appearance today.

Instead, he’s still a mess.

 

At first, I was thinking they'd present HBK as the bad guy in all this, but even HBK reached out to help Marty after turning his own life around.

Nah, this is all on Marty.

I'm sure Columbus, Georgia is proud.

 

Jannetty could have milked the HBK feud well into his 40s and 50s. As is, guys largely decided they preferred or tolerated working with HBK at his various stages of being a complete toolbag, which certainly says a lot.

 

Good thing she wasn’t around during the peak years of “suck it!”

 

Or that he doesn't accentuate every word with a little grunt like Triple H.

So, Jey "quit" WWE, and now we're going to have to wait about 6-7 months for any movement with the Bloodline.
