Yeah, the Miracle On 34th Streetfight is an annual tradition.

My favorite one is the one where Del Rio ran over Santa with the car. And then Cena took him on in the annual street fight for Santa.

    So cheesy, it’s good.

Damn. I was trying to hold out hope that they'd give the Creeds the Christmas shocker and let them get the belts to start building more into the JDay dissention.

Either way, the Creeds looked like a million bucks (though it looked like the landing of the Brutus bomb with Priest was a little off), and Ivy got a great spot as one of the few to outmuscle Rhea.

Yeah, Priest looked kind of pissed after the match.

Dear Lord. Watching the NXT they taped last week: they really ARE turning Ridge Holland's sloppiness into an angle.

    Angle, I think.

Yeah. Not one of their better storylines.

Dragunov did a great sell job, though.

Meanwhile, Omega is out indefinitely with diverticulitis and C.J. Perry just had surgery because she got an infection in her finger from a splinter that she received backstage at AEW Dynamite.

    Sloppy shop!

CJ screws up a storyline again. In WWE, she was with Dolph and plotting against Rusev, and then it leaks that her and Rusev are engaged. In AEW, she was with Andrade and plotting against Miro, and then she nearly loses a finger (those pictures she posted are HIDEOUS, by the way).

Maybe that's CJ's comeuppance for daring to come against Miro and his higher gods?

Went to see The Iron Claw. Excellent film, although as quite a few have said, they could have made it a Netflix series because there was so much that they could have put in and didn’t.

They didn’t quite stick the landing on timelines, but they seemed to try to make it as historically accurate as possible.

Zac Efron and Lily James do put on excellent performances. Stanley Simons as Mike Von Erich is very underrated. I found myself wanting more from his story.

As I said before, they did a great job with making the Sportatorium and the wrestling look authentic.

Some other thoughts, which I’ll put in spoilers:

While they try to be authentic with the in-ring scenes (there are no moonsaults or Canadian Destroyers) there’s one match that ends in a tap out to the claw. Tap-outs weren’t a thing until the mid-90s.

Fritz gives an Easter Egg when talking about 1990 WWF that longtime wrestling fans will understand.

The guy who plays Harley Race does a good job; but they omitted his tattoos. The guy who plays Ric Flair is meh at best. He looked like he was trying too hard.

I said I would mark out if they played the original WCCW TV theme. Well, they did play a different version of the song in the film to start one of their TV shows. They also set up some of the matches to look like the original TV show with graphics that looked authentic. Good for them.

Timeline-wise, they have Kerry getting in the motorcycle crash the same night after he beat Flair for the title, which kinda annoyed me.

When I say that they try to make the wrestling scenes look authentic, they mean it. They even had Freebird Buddy Roberts wearing the boxing headgear that the real Buddy wore after his head was shaved with the Freebird Hair Cream by Iceman Parsons.

Seems like I might just wait for whatever streamer it lands on in a few months.

Meanwhile, speaking about wrestling in Hollywood: not sure if big Dave is preparing for a new role, or what, but he's literally half the man he used to be.

Kudos to Max Caster for actually working a rhyme with Wembanyama.

Can't wait for the promo battle between Karen Jarrett and Shana Wayne.

    Dear Lord, this is painful.
