Can we get MJF roasting celebrities 24/7?

 

Something I'm looking forward to seeing: as much as Sasha/Mercedes' name has been thrown around, will the crowd shit on things if she doesn't appear -- either as Saraya's partner, or a challenger afterwards.

 

I don't really know much about him beyond his cups of coffee in AEW, but Takeshita is going to be a superstar.

 

Something I just thought of … why doesn’t Jade Cargill get time against Britt or Storm or the other women? They built her into a beast. Yet she never gets mentioned as a face of the division.

Also, is it me or anre all the black women are on Rampage while the white (and Asian) are on Dynamite.

 

That is a good observation.

Crowd at the Forum seem to be totally against Saraya and Storm.

 

Sounds like the crowd totally turned when they went to the promo after the women's match, and they realized there would be no Mercedes.

 

So they spoiled Ricky Starks vs. Hagar with a graphic earlier - wasting this segment.

 

There was some great wrestling (Mox/Page, Bryan/Takeshita, Elite/Triangle), and Cole's return was great, but it just seemed to me that AEW needed to pull off more tonight for an LA show.

 

They’ve kinda, sorta done a roster split with Dynamite and Rampage, and Cargill typically is on Rampage.

Plus Cargill is very green, and not quite ready for a huge main event-style match. So they have her on Rampage, winning short semi-squashes, and maybe eventually, she’ll get a major push.

 

When did the Elite turn face? I know the LA crowd is gonna pop big for em but I thought it was really weird that Schiavone and Taz were rooting for them when they still got the Cutler and Nakazaki heel presentation

Great to see Cole. He looks good hopefully they can elevate him fast.

MJF ruined Starks for me….that outfit and soso promo, he really did look like “the pebble”

 

Yeah, I get all that. But if you’re going to Goldberg her, she needs to be in the bigtime mix.

 

Did any of you guys think Mercedes was coming?

I couldnt believe plugged in guys like Alvarez and Kaz were still talking about it after they announced Storm. Felt obvious to me it wasnt happening….
