Last night, it was pretty amazing that the Jets played nearly 8 minutes without their goalie and weren't scored upon. They were down to VGK, 4-0, so it was the desperation time. The Jets scored twice, but the second was washed out because of one of those "missed stoppage" violations that required a video review (centers went down right after a faceoff and the Jets center shoved the puck ahead with his glove). The same 6 played the final 6 minutes. Final was 4-1.

 

I wonder if Connor Hellebuyck would like a change of scenery.

Seems the Avs wisked him out of town, the woman in question was Ukrainian and so intoxicated she struck the Avs' team doctor whose assistance had been requested. At least one Denver PD ranking officer was in Seattle acting (presumably on his own time) as a member of team security. More still to come, I'm sure.

1) Hurricanes … not sure how, but somehow … they’re out of forwards, but not energy or heart.

2) Paul Maurice is going to bring another moribund fan base in another non-traditional market back to life. Yes, Bruins are the more talented team. Look back to 2002 and ask Mo if he cares.

3) Can Seattle end it against the Avs? Stay Tuned.
