Yeah ... Meat Loaf (two out of three ain't bad). Would have loved for the Kraken to wrap that up in Seattle.

    One more chance, though.

Just a dogshit performance from Minnesota last night in an elimination game on home ice (and really since the tail end of Game 4). Buzzing all over the place the first 5-10 minutes, Hartman has a puck roll off his stick in front of a wide-open net, and Dallas clears to center, where Hintz takes possession and wires one over Gustavsson on the rush. Throw in a breakaway goal with 0.5 left in a period and Wild Twitter is piiiiiisssed. I'm in Minnesota but I'm a Red Wings bobo (or at least I was when they didn't suck), so I've been trying to act as observer/devil's advocate. Wild fans have noted, correctly, that the club has won exactly four playoff series in their existence (dating back to 2000) and have now lost eight in a row (including a best-of-five in the bubble). On the flip side, the Wild have played Game 1 at home only four times in 17 playoff series all-time. Their problem is not that they're chokers, it's that they never put themselves in an advantageous position.

    Leafs win!

Once again, after watching the genuine handshakes, hugs and conversations in the postgame conga line, I can't underestimate how impressed I am with the professionalism and sportsmanship of NHL players. An example that other sports would do well to emulate, even though to some it's a relic of the past.

Everyone on the Island still hates him. But tonight is why John Tavares left for Toronto. Imagine three more series wins.

The worst goal allowed just now by the Oilers as the Kings pull even with 12 mins left

And a shortie to boot. Just awful. That was a huge swing.
