Ref called a common foul on Kentucky but then reviewed for a potential hook and hold on Auburn. Instead of reversing the call and assessing a flagrant 1 on Broome, the ref makes it a double foul but only asses Auburn with a common. I did not think that was allowed on a review.

It is a decent sized chunk of out of region students — especially compared to others in the SoCon. And many of their parents are going to be quite well off. I suspect it was also the result of thinking they were good enough to take on an A-10 that wouldn't have Xavier or Butler.

South Carolina, which only got its first conference win last Saturday, is up 29 on Arkansas.

South Carolina appears to be the antithesis of Mizzou.

Looks like Cal will be getting a NIT sweater this spring. After a pretty damn good run, talk about shitting the bed.

Don’t mind me sitting in the hall of the BJCC and working on faking a happy face for the rest of my daughter’s dance competition. What a complete pants shitting by Bama.

That last shot by Tennessee was all I saw of the game. Helluva shot. Damn little defense against it.

You saw the shot, I saw the shot, but Rick Barnes didn’t. He was too busy yelling at the ref for not calling the time out he was clearly asking for.

That guy is decidedly NOT a shooter. They wanted to make sure he didn’t get the ball to Lanier.

It came after Alabama had the ball under the basket with 3.8 seconds and two timeouts left. And they swallowed a five-second count.

Nine missed free throws are a little bit haunting too. I get that one SEC loss shouldn’t put me on tilt but they went from the cusp of locking up a No. 1 seed to now a distinct possibility they don’t get a double bye at the conference tournament.

Big win for Vandy — and a big loss for Mizzou.
