Yes I'm an old man shaking his fist the clouds but Virginia at Cal and Virginia Tech at Stanford in ACC games is beyond ridiculous.

Bears fans were so excited about the first ACC game at Haas that 3,696 showed up. That's awful for Cal. Stanford (incredibly) has not yet linked the box score on its website so I can't tell the attendance at Maples, but they don't draw flies anyways, so I imagine it was in the 2k-3k range.

I watched a few minutes of VT-Stanford. Per ESPN the attendance was 3,262, felt lighter than that. Also, Tech was up 16-4 at one point and lost by 11, which is just great. I've had a really hard time getting into college hoops this season. Maybe once the NFL is over, but with the Caps playing so well, I've been throwing most of my sports watching energy there of late.

Given the lackluster team Cal is putting on the floor at Arkansas, they might have been right in running him off.

The random Marciniak throwback was great.

Wild to think there is an entire generation of women’s basketball fans by now that doesn’t remember Pat Summit, or at least not at the peak of her power. Also makes me wonder if there might be a movie opportunity.

And maybe a generation or two that don't have a clue that programs like Louisiana Tech and Georgia were always in the top 5 or 10 for many, many years.

Pacific, losers of 20 straight WCC games and 21 road games overall, rolls into the Palouse and shock Wazzu at the end of OT.
