All four top seeds in the SEC take the pipe yesterday.

 

It Just Means More.

 

Pac-12: Stanford wins its pool with a 2-1 win over Oregon State and advances to the final four. Also yesterday, Utah beat Oregon 4-2 and Arizona beat Washington 6-5. Cal and Arizona meet tonight in the pool play finale and a berth in the finals.
WCC: Saint Mary's knocked out Pepperdine and Gonzaga ousted Santa Clara. Today, Gonzaga meets top-seeded San Diego and St. Mary's plays No. 2 Portland.
Mountain West: Starts today with San Jose State vs. New Mexico and Fresno State vs. Air Force.

 

At least one of them, Kentucky, did it willfully. And why not? They’ll be a top-8 seed.

 

It was a walk-off win - literally. Michigan beat Iowa 3-2 in the first round of the Big Ten baseball tournament Wednesday on a bases-loaded walk in the bottom of the 10th inning.

 

There’s still an element of small-time charm to college baseball. Imagine hearing a funeral parlor ad while listening to the Iron Bowl or Duke-Carolina on the radio.

USC is involved somehow, someway, I think. Beat Utah a couple of days ago and plays Oregon today. If Oregon wins, all three teams in the pool will be 1-1. Then it becomes a mystery to me.

 

Concession stand has a corn dog combo. Clearly they know their purple and gold audience.

 

Can't remember who Iowa was eliminated by today, maybe Illinois?
Anyway, the Hawks were on the wrong end of a bogus runner interference call and it was fun to watch the Iowa coach (Rick Heller?) go bat-shit ballistic.
