Evansville-Tennessee is the Super we all wanted to see, right? Damn. #1 overall seed gets to play a 4 seed for a trip to Omaha.

Also, it's been a hot minute since a 4 seed made it past a Super. Stony Brook in 2012 was the last one.

Good lord, they got all of one hit and lost 10-0 just two days ago.

Amazing that Evansville won that game today. In the fifth inning, they botched a double-play ball; got nothing out of a second miraculous break (a comebacker with the bases loaded); allowed another run on a wild pitch; and turned a double play on an incredibly complex play that looked like it could have been a triple play and a failure to record any outs at all. I can't begin to explain that play, that inning or that result.

At least three No. 3 seeds are advancing to the Supers, four if UConn upsets Oklahoma.

LSU learning the eternal lesson that a weekend starter is not guaranteed to be a shutdown closer in a deciding postseason game.

They picked an excellent time to learn that lesson!

No California teams in the final 16 for the first time since the tournament began. And two from Oregon.

Four ACC teams hosting Supers. Four SEC teams hosting Supers.

Oregon State-Kentucky is going to be really fun. I'm picking N.C. State to upset Georgia.

Sooners softball back in the finals after an 8-inning win against Florida. Never let it be said this isn’t a contact sport.

You try to make a tag that far in front of the base, you better be prepared to be trucked. Does the clear-path rule apply in softball? Because the runner (safe anyways) wasn't given one.

The runner hit harder than any OU football player in recent seasons.

It still amazes me that U-12 Little League players in Williamsport compete on a larger diamond than college softball.

So how will NIL impact the MLB draft? Will MLB either figure they need to increase signing bonuses - or just follow the NFL and let the colleges carry the load and do the development?
