Wyoming's Jeff Linder to Texas Tech as an assistant.

Many Poke fans seem very OK with this, despite the poor timing.

Is he "related" to THE BY? I mean, I remember people made a big deal that Steve Young was a great-great-great grandson or whatever of Brigham Young, than you realize he hke 17 wives and 52 kids and its not that big of a surprise.

Former Wyo assistant Sundance Wilkes, now the head coach at UW Green Bay, listed as a leading candidate. Might be the first coach ever to move to Laramie for the weather.

Great first name. He's from Gillette; Sundance is a small town about 75 miles east, where you turn off I-90 to go to Devils Tower.

Even Doug Gottlieb's name is in the mix.

Gottlieb couldn’t wedge his way into the running for the job at his Alma mater, Oklahoma State. Wonder how this pursuit will work.

Tom Burman can't be foolish enough to hire that self-promoting diva.

Not without lack of effort on his part.

Doug Gottlieb’s name might be in the mix, but this feels like one of those articles written to fill dead air space with no connection to reality.

It’s not the same as Doug Gottlieb actually being interested in the job.

The worst thing for Gottlieb would be if he actually landed one of these jobs.

Currently, he gets to float his name around every opening out there and remain relevant as he talks a big game.

He gets one of them and fails (which I'm 90 percent sure he would), where does that leave him?

The Pokes hire Sundance Wicks from UW-Green Bay, as expected.

He gets a last couple of years of salary and a buyout?
