Washington Coach De Boer, AD Troy Dannen , new Coach Fisch , and new AD all on the hot seat for allowing a FB player who was suspended to play in UW's final two games (including playoff against Michigan). And continue to practice this winter and spring.

    Charged for two separate rapes.

Dannen responded to the Seattle Times with a "no comment".

Likely why Dannen bolted for Nebraska, which has said nothing.

Yes, an official, but he was a giant in the SEC on the field and later as the national coordinator of officials. His Redding Study Guides were/are a must-read for officials, including me. His training as a scientist made him look at the football rules in a more rational way. Whenever I have a problem with a rule, reading his explanation is so much better than anyone else's for me and has made me a much better official.

Rogers Redding, former SEC referee and national coordinator of officials, dies at 81

Out of respect for the family, I’ll withhold the sarcastic “Roger Ramjet” lyrics we modified when he was officiating one of our games.

RIP Steve Sloan, former Vanderbilt and Texas Tech coach.

In a dark part of my history, I was a Vanderbilt fan for a couple of years because I just liked Sloan so much, and for some reason his coach's show was on one of my East Tennessee TV affiliates. Also a former Alabama QB (followed Namath) and AD, but I won't hold that against him.

Ex-college coach, Bama QB Sloan dies at 79

He’s gone on to the great Paul Eels interview in the sky.

“One of my special troubles is I am head coach of the team I would most like to play against.”

Steve Sloan on his time at Vandy.

Also had stops at Ole Miss and Duke. RIP.

That would involve reading a Joseph Goodman column. Like Herb Winches with a typewriter.
