When they say "FOX" do they mean Fox? FS1? FS2? a sub-digital channel? Streaming? Its a big difference.

I worry the owner is going to pull the plug one day. I know an SJer inquired about buying it from him several years ago. Wish they could have made a deal.

Depends on how many players and future recruits buy into some of the old grad's narrative of how the Patriot League is such a huge stop down from the CAA, which has become an inflated piece of crap lately with all the additions. If Villanova (and even W&M) joins too, that would alleviate much of the concern, but some of the old guard are still pissed we dropped to FCS, stopped playing "Dixie" and dumped the General Spidey mascot almost 40 years ago.

The overall Sagarin ratings of the PL, Southern Conference and CAA were very close this past season. Remove Delaware and UR from one and add UR to the PL and they are essentially even.

    CAA (19th - 47.14)
    93. Villanova
    116. Albany
    142. Delaware (leaving)
    145. UNH
    167. Elon
    168. UR
    171. W&M
    172. Bryant (incoming)
    174. Monmouth
    177. URI
    190. Towson
    196. Campbell
    208. Maine
    228. Hampton
    230. NC A&T
    243. Stony Brook

    Patriot (22nd - 42.91)
    135. Holy Cross
    154. Lafayette
    188. Fordham
    198. Colgate
    207. Georgetown
    219. Bucknell
    229. Lehigh

    SoCon (21st - 44.33)
    130. Furman
    159. Western Carolina
    161. Chattanooga
    166. Mercer
    181. Samford
    209. VMI
    221. Wofford
    232. ETSU
    252. Citadel

All I've heard is "its not about the money."

As much as the demise of the Pac-12 would make for an interesting book - how Wazzu and the Beavs are handling this would make for an equally interesting read. Seems like they aren't standing still at all - interim scheduling agreements with the WCC and Mountain West, maybe the OSU gymnastics team joins the Big 12, perhaps Cal and Stanford are wondering what the hell they got into with the ACC.
I really think we may end up seeing a return to some normalcy sooner rather than later with conference realignment, when all of these schools realize they may not be in a better place than where they were.

Around here preps-wise, they tried to smash together a very urban league and a suburban league, and the culture clash was too much. Everyone went their separate ways in a couple years, and the reborn urban league even sliced off a couple of the more urban schools in that suburban league. Of course there wasn't a billion-dollar TV deal involved.
