I'm not against players being paid, but this is a slow moving car crash. Which players get paid, how do you deal with Title IX?

 

Does the starting QB on a middling team get more than the All-Conference forward for the women's basketball team that has won titles and advanced in March Madness?

At some point there will be at least one if not multiple Title IX lawsuits over payments, unless every athlete gets the same amount in the House settlement.

 

I suspect some ADs see all this as a chance to rid themselves of non-revenue sports that exist just for Title IX.

 

It'll mean the end of D1 sports for many non-Power schools.

 

So the B1G made more than the $EC last year.

You know who was the highest paid employee at the B!G? Former Commissioner Jim Delaney, who retired in 2020. made $5.8m. LOL.
